If you’re gong to be picking up a Switch 2 next month, and connectivity is key for you, then you might want to take a look at the SnapPort.
It’s a Snap
We’re in the home stretch now, tumbling inexorably towards the launch of Nintendo’s Switch 2 console. Along with that launch will naturally be a collection of accessories, many of which will be looking to take up a port on the console, like controllers, mice, and even cameras. Well if you’ve been wondering how you were going to set things up for yourself once you got your console home, you might have a nifty option in the SnapPort.
New and upcoming from peripheral company JSAUX, the SnapPort is a tiny and portability-minded device that plugs right into the Switch 2’s top USB-C port. The idea being that the SnapPort will allow users to easily add a second port. To that end, the unit will come in a pair of designs, one with twin USB-C ports and one housing a single USB-C and a standard USB-A port.

Here’s how they break down:
JSAUX press release
- DD0012: This model features two USB-C ports — one for fast charging (up to 100W) and another for data transfer, supporting speeds up to 480Mbps.
- DD0013: This version includes a USB-C port for fast charging (up to 100W) and a legacy USB-A port for data transfer at 480Mbps.
Both units are still ‘coming soon’, but keep watching JSAUX’ online shop for availability, which should be some time soon. Watch for more from this particular lineup too, as the company says that it’s considering expanding the SnapPort’s capabilities, with “3.5mm audio jack or HDMI ports”.
