The crime anthology series Batman: Dark Patterns rolls on, bringing a red-hot new case for the Dark Knight to solve.
There’s a hot time in the old town tonight
Have you been reading DC Comics’ Batman: Dark Patterns? A kind of anthology series, the book hails from the creative team of Dan Watters, Hayden Sherman, Tríona Farrell and Frank Cvetkovic, and has so far presented a pair of twisted cases (each in three parts) for the Batman to tackle.
And with We Are The Wounded and The Voice of The Tower both in the bag, the third arc is about to begin with a bang. Or, maybe we should say with a conflagration, as Pareidolia brings the hero to one of Gotham’s oldest neighborhoods to investigate a man set alight.
Though what he finds once there holds a link to one of his greatest foes.

Case 03: Pareidolia
THE PAST NEVER DIES IN GOTHAM…IT BURNS.
AND THE RED HOOD GANG LIT THE MATCH.
When a dead body is found burned to a crisp in the heart of one of Gotham’s oldest neighborhoods, the Rookery, the Dark Knight Detective finds himself enmeshed in a twisting murder mystery dating back to the early days of the Red Hood Gang.
