Preview: A lost Wolverine tale comes to stores in Wolverine by Chris Claremont #1

Fans will have a chance to grab a formerly exclusive Chris Claremont Wolverine story, in the pages of August’s one-shot.

The best there is

A few weeks ago, we told you about X-Men by Chris Claremont: Prelude to a Future Past #1, an upcoming book that revisits the X-Men great’s epic tale, Days of Future Past. Included in that book, will be an exclusive tale that could previously only be found in the pages of Marvel Made Paragon Collection: Chris Claremont Premier Bundle. But apparently the 2021-published tome is a treasure trove of the writer’s work, and there’s another story from it that’ll be seeing print in second just-announced one-shot.

While the aforementioned title will be coming to stores in July, August will bring that second one-shot, entitled Wolverine by Chris Claremont #1. And it’s in that edition that you’ll be able to get up to speed on a story about Wolverine in Japan, complete with a surprise assault by one Victor Creed.

Check out a short preview of the action below:

Wolverine’s archnemesis strikes in one of the rarest X-Men tales of all by legendary writer Chris Claremont! The story sees the savage Sabretooth catching his prey by surprise – and determined to claim the life of Mariko, the woman Logan loves! Wolverine may be the best there is, but Victor Creed is the worst! Yet even if Sabretooth can get the upper hand on his bitter rival, Logan has one thing he doesn’t: friends! Get ready for one of the bloodiest fights you’ve ever seen the X-Men in, in which Creed shares some shocking insights with Marvel’s mutants!
