Nintendo Download: Hymns of Harmony and Destiny

Get me Mad Dog… and Scorpion! Or something like that anyway, as Contra: Operation Galuga lands on the Switch this week.

We call it… CONTRA

For the record, Nintendo is mainly highlighting Unicorn Overlord this week, and there’s a good reason for that. The RPG is, after all, a product of fan-favorite developer Vanillaware, and it does sound pretty neat. If you’re not familiar with the name, Unicorn Overlord is a fantasy role-playing title that puts players in charge of an army of up to 60 characters, all of which is naturally set in a world that showcases the developer’s staple flair.

But even with that landing, we would prefer to showcase the arrival of none other than Contra: Operation Galuga. The first real ‘Contra’ game in a long time, this new title looks like it should make long time series fans very happy indeed, with traditional side-scrolling, run and gun gameplay.

As usual too, there’s a ton more stuff landing like Warhammer 40K: Dakka Squadron and Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley. Scroll down to check out the full list of new arrivals.
