Head back to the 90s with family-friendly 3D platformer Cavern of Dreams

Looking like it leapt from the N64’s glory days is Cavern of Dreams, a colorful, non-violent and kid-safe 3D platformer.

Not that lil dragon

Meet Fynn, a young dragon who’s got an adventure in front of him. He’s the star of Super Rare Games and Bynine Studios’ Cavern of Dreams, which arrives today for the PC. If it look familiar to you, then you’ve likely spent more than a little time with the N64, as this new title has been crafted to look like it’d have been right at home on the 90s icon.

But while there were more than a few great platformers on that hardware, there weren’t really any like Cavern of Dreams. That’s because this game is decidedly non-violent, and offers up exploration, secret-finding, and puzzle-solving in its place. However don’t get the idea that it’s world is completely devoid of hazards, because you’ll still need to watch your step…

In Cavern of Dreams, players are invited to explore a magical, densely-packed world brimming with secrets, challenges, and an abundance of collectibles while solving the puzzle of who stole Flynn’s siblings… and why! Investigate the mystery against a brightly-coloured background and nostalgic soundtrack, through puzzle-solving and light platforming with a cast of whimsical and fun characters.

Secrets and surprises await players around every corner of the Cavern of Dreams, with four uniquely-themed worlds connected to a main hub world, full of secrets of its own to discover. Unlock each new world with new body parts granted to you by the Sage, each adding a new ability for Fynn to use in the search for his family!
