Nintendo Download: Adventures and New Beginnings

Still with the New Years stuff? Yeah, why not, and who’s going to turn down a sale anyway? That’s in addition to a rising selection of smaller releases.

Happy new year

Yeah, it’s the middle of January already, but that doesn’t mean that Nintendo’s New Years sale is over just yet. There are still a few days left in that promotion, with deals running until the 15th. So if you haven’t dug in yet and checked out what’s on offer, you might want to get to that this weekend at some point.

If you’re looking for something specifically new though, your options are a little more limited. Okay, a lot more limited actually. There aren’t any big titles launching this week for Switch, though there is a sizable list of smaller releases hitting.

Those include an interesting title called Dusk 82 as well. If you don’t know what that is, and I didn’t, it’s a demake of the already retro FPS Dusk. How do you de-make it even more? You make it an overhead dungeons crawl. If you’re into titles from that mid-80s era, you might wanna check it out.

Of course, Hyrule wouldn’t be the same without its green-hatted hero Link – even if he starts off in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild … hatless! Don’t worry, though, it won’t be long before you have an opportunity to gather up some gear to accompany his pointed ears. Then, cap things off with Kirby as he dons a variety of Copy Abilities – complete with fashionable headwear! – in Kirby and the Forgotten LandSuper Mario Odyssey, Luigi’s Mansion 3, Mario Kart 8 DeluxeMario Party SuperstarsSuper Mario 3D World + Bowser’s FuryThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Kirby and the Forgotten Land are all available now in Nintendo eShop.
