Get-a ready Super Mario fans, Super Mario Maker 2 is building its way onto the Nintendo Switch very soon. It lands in June.
Making Mario again
For a game that included a ton and a half of Mario making goodness, the original is looking kinda lacking. The sequel, announced not all that long ago, includes even more materials and characters.
While there’s been no mention of an SMB2 graphic set yet, what is included looks flat out terrific.
This full-fledged sequel to the original groundbreaking Super Mario Makergame for the Wii U system lets your imagination run wild as you make and play your own Super Mariocourses using new tools, items and features.
With an incredibly intuitive toolset ready to be explored and experimented with, including the new ability to create slopes for the first time, nearly anything is possible in Super Mario Maker 2.
Nintendo press release
If you didn’t realize slopes were missing from the first Mario Maker, don’t feel bad. I didn’t either. In any event though, Super Mario Maker 2 is looking sharp as a Spiny’s shell. And it’s not far off either.
Nope, Nintendo isn’t saving this one for the Holidays (which makes you wonder…). Super Mario Maker 2 is hitting the Nintendo Switch on June 28th. Perfect to take with you on summer vacation.
