Activision has released both Marvel Ultimate Alliance games.
There hasn’t been a good Marvel game for a long while, so this is something of a treat for fans. And while you might have played both of these aRPG’s before, they’re really two of the best ‘Marvel’ themed titles to ever see release.
Both Marvel Ultimate Alliance and its sequel put you in the driver’s seat of classically-styled Marvel mega-crossovers. The first game is more of an original adventure, while the follow-up is more or less Civil War (the original, not the currently running sequel… duh), albeit with some twists.
There is a common thread though, and that’s in the character count. You have command of a monster sized group of superheroes in both MUA’s, like “Captain America, Spider-Man, Thor, Loki, Wolverine, Doctor Doom, Ultron and many others”. Yes, the Avengers are in here, but so is Spider-Man, the FF, and an impressive array of X-Men. Just like the good old days for Marvel maniacs.
While both games are awesome, these re-issues are not cheap. Either game will run you $39.99 USD separately or $59.99 USD as a package deal. You can get them as of the 28th on the Xbox One, PS4, and PC (via Steam).
