Players will be able to play pretty much the entire game with Download Play.
Those of you who are looking forward to The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes but doubt their friends will pony up the dough are in luck: Nintendo has revealed that the Download Play function will allow players to:
- Play any dungeon already unlocked by the cartridge owner
- Make two outfits, so long as they’ve been made by the cartridge owner
Unfortunately, you can’t play the Coliseum mode, and you still can’t play Tri Force Heroes’ co-op missions with only two total players. Still, between Download Play, local options, and the ability to join friends online, you shouldn’t have any problems getting a match together- and making it through the entire game.
NOE has also released a new preview trailer.
Personally, I can’t wait to throw my friends into the lava and get revenge for Four Swords Adventures, and I’m happy to see Download Play will make convincing people to come along for the ride even easier..
The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes launches October 23rd in North America and Europe.
