Capcom’s beta test for the PS4 exclusive (and PC) Street Fighter V hasn’t fared so well and has now been yanked.
Well this isn’t off to such a great start now is it? It appears as though the beta for Street Fighter V, which has had a series of issues really since it kicked off, has been pulled from servers. And if you’re looking for a date as to when it’ll be back… wait longer. The demo has no reinstitution date, and is nonexistent as of now.
For their part, Capcom clarified things a bit, which should make fans feel a bit better about the whole mess. The publisher says that they’ve collected some valuable data from the tests so far, and that it hasn’t been for naught. However, they also say that it certainly looked as though the shakiness of the whole thing wasn’t giving gamers a very good time, so that’s why it’s been cancelled.
Well, cancelled for now anyway. Capcom also says that this test won’t play against future tests, so they’ll presumably proceed as planned. Also kind of neat, is that Capcom will be making things up to those to partook in this first round of testing with “a worthwhile in-game incentive”.
Stay tuned for what that’ll be exactly, as nothing has been announced as of yet. Street Fighter V hits the PS4 and PC next year; want to read the whole quote from Capcom? Hit the link below.
