Agent Venom debuts in Ultimate Spidey cartoon

Man is Marvel Animation keeping this show up to date. Not only does Ultimate Spider-Man get a Spider-Verse crossover this year, but Agent Venom is on the way too.

BIG HEROES! BIG VILLAINS! AND BIGGER ADVENTURES this week, Share Your Universe with a brand new episode of Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors this Sunday at 8 ET/PT inside the Marvel Universe on Disney XD.

Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors  – “Agent Venom”

When Spider-Man’s classmate Flash Thompson is infected with Venom, the world will soon find out whether he will become a hero or Spidey’s newest enemy. Can Flash reclaim his body and mind…before it is too late?

Marvel’s animated universe is actually getting pretty darned interesting. With the evolution of the cartoon slate that they have going in Avengers Assemble, Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H., and Ultimate Spider-Man, there’s a bunch to like about what Marvel is putting out and onto Disney XD right now.

One of the biggest reasons for that is that it seems like the company is working to keep stories current, well as current as they can while still working within the universe set up in the shows. Case in point right here- Ultimate Spider-Man and Agent Venom.

While Venom as a villain is still a thing (in some ways) in the animated universe, he’s also Flash Thompson as a hero (in some ways). We’ll also be seeing the massive Spidey crossover Spider-Verse make some kind of appearance on the show and Spider-Man is now an Avenger, which no cartoon has ever showcased before. Pretty nifty.

If you haven’t given the shows a shot yet, you might eat to check them out. Even though they’re clearly aimed at the kids, there’s a decent amount of content for the older set of fans to dig into as well. The ‘Agent Venom’ episode of Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors hits Disney XD this Sunday morning (part of the Marvel Universe block of shows) at 8am/7am central time.
