Aric goes from the frying pan into the fryer as Armor Hunters heats up.
Valiant is proud to present an advance preview of X-O Manowar #23 – the FIRST ISSUE of PRELUDE TO ARMOR HUNTERS, an essential prologue to Valiant’s blockbuster summer 2014 crossover event! From New York Times best-selling writer Robert Venditti and Valiant’s next superstar artist Diego Bernard, the march toward X-O Manowar’s first epic confrontation with the galaxy’s most feared team of hunter-killers, the Armor Hunters, starts here on March 19th!
For eons, one threat above all others has brought pain and strife down upon civilizations across the universe – the X-O Manowar armor. And now the Manowar has come to Earth. What will follow in its wake? Only the creature called Malgam knows the truth…and, in the wake of Unity, Aric of Dacia is about to be forced into a brutal confrontation with the deadly legacy behind the universe’s most powerful weapon.
On March 19th, Robert Venditti and Diego Bernard unleash the opening salvo of the cataclysm that is to come in X-O Manowar #23, the FIRST ISSUE of PRELUDE TO ARMOR HUNTERS, and a key stepping stone toward Valiant’s first milestone spectacular – X-O Manowar #25!
Then, the Valiant event of 2014 begins in full force this June in Armor Hunters #1 (of 4) by writer Robert Venditti and superstar artist Doug Braithwaite! The crossover epic of the year then continues with two brand new story arcs beginning in Unity #8 and X-O Manowar #26 – and look for even more Valiant heroes to join the fight against Valiant’s first full-scale alien incursion as the summer continues!
Technically this is the Prelude to Armor Hunters, but X-O Manowar #23 still shouldn’t be missed by fans. This is where all the lines get drawn and all the first little hints of what’s to come later this season start to appear. And if you’ve followed the roller-coaster ride that is X-O Manowar since it re-debuted in 2011, then you know that there’s more than likely going to be a lot to keep track of as Armor Hunters rolls on.
This is where is all begins and it’s most definitely must read Valiant- even if it lacks the branding.
