Final Mentor announced for Realta’s BandFuse

The rhythm/guitar tutoring title now can add Children of Bodom’s Alexi Laiho to its roster.

“The musical path I have chosen has been amazing so far, and a new part of this journey is having the honor to be part of BandFuse: Rock Legends,” said Laiho. “Being able to deliver my thoughts on shredding technique in game – not in avatar form but as myself – makes an unimaginable impact on my desire to take part in this game. BandFuse: Rock Legends is a terrific way to learn how to blow minds, melt faces and play killer music.”

Laiho is the latest in a string of impressive names to be added to the game, which stands almost all by itself as the remaining representative of the once mega-popular ‘music game’ genre. The difference between classic titles like Guitar Hero and Rock Band and BandFuse though, is that you’ll actually be learning how to play the instrument from the likes of  Slash, Bootsy Collins, George Lynch, Mike Ness, Zakk Wylde,  Zoltan Bathory, Jason Hook and (of course) Laiho.

All of those stars have some serious cred when it comes to rock music, so it should be a great lineup for fans. Laiho, all by himself, has a pile of accolades including being picked ‘Best Metal Guitarist’ by the readers of Guitar World and getting dubbed the ‘Best Shredder’ at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards. Now that’s some flair.

Rock out with the top names in the biz when Realta’s BandFuse Legends opens up its first set for the Xbox 360 and PS3 on November 19th in the US and a month later (December 19th) in Japan. The game will also be coming to European audiences, but no release date has been announced as of yet.
