Evil West bringing the supernatural frontier to consoles and PC this September

This fall is gonna be a little extra evil, thanks to Focus Entertainment’s supernatural western. Evil West launches on consoles and PC in September.

Eeeeeeevil

Is it me, or are westerns making a comeback? Actually, given that we’re talking about video games here, I guess ‘an arrival’ would be a better thought, since there’ve never really been all that many western-themed games.

Over the last few years though, there’ve been a few of them. It’s a surge (if you want to call it that) that might have begun with Red Dead, though that’s neither here nor there for this news since we’re talking Evil West today.

Focus Entertainment and Flying Wild Hog are back for this new gunslinging title. It’s a game that brings the developer into uncharted territory once more, this time into the realm of third-person action.

And if Trek to Yomi is anything to go by, that’s a very good thing indeed.

Jump right into frantic, gory carnage in a vampire-infested Weird Wild West as the trailer introduces gunslinger Jesse Rentier on his mission to eradicate the supernatural terror. As the star agent in his father’s undercover monster-hunting organization, his fight is also a personal war against the nightmarish leading figures in the vampire world. Take on Jesse’s role as the final line between humanity and the vampire threat, rise up to become a Wild West superhero and save the United States!

Get fired up by the explosive third-person action gameplay featuring an overpowering arsenal of weapons and guns. Take part in stylish, visceral combat as you unleash hell with your firearms, lightning-fueled gauntlet and gadgets.

Focus Entertainment press release

Digging the cut of that? If so, you’ll have only the summer to wait, as Evil West is set to arrive on September 20th, 2022. Pre-orders are open right now via Steam, and you can expect the game to appear on that platform (the PC), as well as the Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PS4, and Xbox One.
