Sideshow unboxes Hot Toys’ Anakin Skywalker and STAP set

No, not the lead singer of Creed, this STAP has one less “p”. Ripped right from Star Wars: The Clone Wars is Anakin Skywalker with his stolen ride.

Can you take me higher

If you were a fan of The Clone Wars, then you likely remember the rescue of Rotta the Hutt. The Huttling, son of notorious crime lord Jabba the Hutt, was kidnapped by separatists and held captive on Teth.

As Jedi Anakin Skywalker set about the rescue at the B’omarr Monastery there, he appropriated a STAP. That, naturally, led to the demise of numerous clankers.

And it’s that moment that the latest in Hot Toys’ line of collectible figures showcases. Cast in the usual highly detailed and realistic Hot Toys style, is Skywalker, and his chosen vehicle.

The pair are boxed together for this new offering, and were just featured in a special Sideshow unboxing. Take a look:

This highly detailed collectible figure draws inspiration from Anakin Skywalker’s appearance in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars™. Merging Hot Toys’ signature ultra-detailed style with the Clone Wars animated design, the figure features a hand-painted head, a tailored fabric costume, and sculpted armor. Accessories include Anakin’s lightsaber (with LED light-up feature), a thermal detonator, a hologram projector, several hologram figures representing Ahsoka TanoYoda™, and Obi-Wan Kenobi™, and more!

Sideshow Toys press release

Anakin and his STAP are still up for pre-order, which you can do over on Sideshow Toys’ site. The set is priced in at $385 USD, and is scheduled for shipping sometime from this month (May) through July 2022.
