Atari Flashback Classics vol 3 powers up

The third collection of Atari arcade and console classics is here. This one’s packing a monster-sized collection of 50 games.

Greats

There are few names as synonymous with video gaming as Atari. ET debacle aside, the company was the name in the game for years. While that was back in the 80s, Atari is still well respected because of that era.

Over the last few years, we’ve seen a pair of collections land on modern consoles. Both vol 1 & 2 of the Flashback Collection already hold a pretty beefy stable of classic games from those early gaming consoles. And now we’ve got a third packed with even more.

What you see there is 50 games, all remastered, and all representative of Atari’s heyday. It includes arcade games for sure, but the disc also offers 2600 and even 5200 games.

This is the first time that anything from the 5200 has appeared on a modern console by the way. So for many gamers today, there’s a chance to play some true classics for the first time in this set.

Atari Flashback Classics vol 3 is available right now for the Xbox One and PS4.

Here’s what’s included:

Atari 2600: Adventure II, Air Raiders, Aquaventure, Armor Ambush, Astroblast, Dark Cavern (Night Stalker), Frog Pond, Frogs and Flies, Holey Moley, International Soccer, MotoRodeo, Saboteur®, Sea Battle, Space Attack, Star Strike, Super Challenge Baseball, Super Challenge Football, Sword Fight, Wizard, and Yars’ Return™.

Atari 5200: Asteroids®, Centipede®, Countermeasure, Final Legacy, Micro-Gammon, Millipede®, Miniature Golf, Missile Command®, Realsports® Baseball, Realsports® Basketball, Realsports® Football, Realsports® Soccer, Realsports® Tennis, Star Raiders®, Super Breakout®, and Xari Arena.

Arcade: Atari® Baseball, Atari® Basketball, Atari® Football, Atari® Soccer, Avalanche, Canyon Bomber®, Destroyer, Dominos, Fire Truck/Smokey Joe, Maze Invaders™, Monte Carlo, Pool Shark, Sky Diver, and Super Bug.

About Jason Micciche

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
