Coffee Crisis bringing old school brawling to the PC, Xbox One

Baristas battling aliens over the fate of metal music? Suer, why not. Coffee Crisis is set to bring all that, and some 16bit-era brawling onto the PC and Xbox One this year.

The great coffee crisis

Here’s a new one: aliens come to Earth to steal all the coffee, metal music, cat videos, and WiFi. Yes, that’s weird, but it also looks like a pretty darn neat side-scrolling action title from Mega Cat Studios. But I guess it should. After all, Aliens and coffee are two great tastes that go great… well actually they don’t seem to go together at all.

But all the same, this fresh brawler combines the two for a result that looks like all kinds of retro-cool. Maybe it’s the heavy metal that the devs are garnishing this special brew with that makes it. Or it could be the 16bit era visuals that look so at home on a Genesis that they’re… on a Genesis.

Seriously, side from hitting the PC and Xbox One, Coffee Crisis is actually an honest to goodness Genesis compatible cart. It’s on the website and everything (and yes, you can buy it now). If you’d rather play this bad boy on your computer though, you’re in luck since it arrives next week. And yes there’s an Xbox One edition coming as well, though it’s a little further off.

No date for that one just yet.
