Nintendo Download: Flipping Out

The stunt-riding Urban Trial Playground arrives on the Switch this week, marking the arrival of the series on Nintendo’s platform. Along with that, the arcade version of Punch Out!! finally hits. Fair warning: It’s a weird one.

Biking, boxing, and not much else

If you like Trials, then you’re going to like to see that Urban Trial Playground is hitting the Switch. Personally, I’m not much of a fan, but the game is really good looking, and of course has a fair bit of positive word of mouth. So if you’re into Trials, then you might want to check it out.

I am however, a big fan of Punch Out!!, yet I’ve never played the arcade version of it. I assume that could go for many fans of the series, as the arcade edition was never all that well received. From playing the Switch port, I can see why. It’s just weird. The pace seems slower and clunkier, and the graphics are not great. I can’t get used to that green hair on Mac.
