Marvel goes big with Venom in The Edge of the Venomverse

A spiritual sequel to the Spiderverse crossover in Spider-Man’s titles a while back, Edge of the Venomverse is set to be a definitively darker tale.

Spinning out of events in the hit Venom series and the blockbuster Venomized Variant Program beginning this month – Eddie Brock won’t be the only one who is back in black!

Kicking off this June, EDGE OF VENOMVERSE unleashes sinister symbiotes across the Marvel Universe, wreaking untold havoc and wanton destruction! Featuring some of the most popular characters from March’s Venomized Variant Program, this in-continuity series brings you deadly new Venom combinations, giving fans dream matchups from some of comics’ hottest creators! So this is completely unexpected and pretty freaking awesome. Well, if you’re a Venom fan it’s awesome anyway, since the iconic version of the character is going to be absolutely running wild on the Marvel U.

Not only do we get Eddie Brock back in the Symbiote, but we get a pretty neat event book to celebrate the occasion. And while Venomized versions of Marvel characters is definitely a little on the gimmicky side, it’s also undeniably cool.

Also, and feel free to correct me if I’m wrong here, but is that Wolverine in the back there? Like, Wolverine Wolverine? Last I checked Old Man Logan didn’t wear a costume. Plunk that one in the ‘huh’ file for the time being.
