Another set of ‘live’ tracks hits for Guitar Hero Live, with more to come

A hotbed of musical activity, Guitar Hero Live’s GHTV is continuing to get fresh content.

Familiar with Rival Sons? Hailing from Southern California, the band is performing with the legendary Black Sabbath next year, in support of Ozzy’s 2016 tour. They were also kind enough to help launch Guitar Hero Live at the YouTube Space in Los Angeles this past October, so it’s pretty cool to see them getting some in-game content from Activision and FreeStyle Games.

The band opened up the launch event with three songs; Keep On Swinging, Pressure and Time, and Electric Man, and all of them are now playable in GHTV. Of course, the tunes don’t stop there as more music from that launch show (including tracks from Weezer and Grizfolk) will be hitting soon as well.

There’s actually more right now too, with songs from System of a Down and Judas Priest hitting servers as well. The songs will be included in two new premium shows in GHTV, called Lords of Metal and Pop Punk Perfection.

Here’s the rundown for those:

Lords of Metal

  • System of a Down – Toxicity
  • Judas Priest – Painkiller
  • Bullet For My Valentine – Tears Don’t Fall

Pop Punk Perfection

  • Sum 41 – Fatlip
  • Four Year Strong – Just Drive
  • Tonight Alive – Lonely Girl

About Jason Micciche

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
