First trailer for Tales from the Borderlands premiers

Telltale’s got one of their most action-packed adventure games yet in store for Borderlands fans.

The adventure game genre just keeps on evolving, and mostly at the hands of Telltale Games, who keep pushing the boundaries of the classic genre forward. Tales from the Borderlands looks like it might be the most action oriented game in their catalog, not to mention the funniest.

The developer has held onto everything that makes Gearbox’ Borderlands such a fan-favorite series, ad adapted it to forge what looks to be a very unique adventure series. Just how much the characters from the first three games will figure in (with the Pre-Sequel getting a mention in there as well) remains to be seen, but it looks like Borderlands through and through, which is a very good thing indeed for fans.

Premiering with the episode ‘Zero Sum’, Tales from the Borderlands will be hitting the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, and Mac very soon, with an iOS and Android version arriving soon after. You can expect pricing on the individual episodes t be in line with what the company has done before with a price point of $4.99 USD each on consoles. A $19.99 Season Pass on the PSN and a $14.99 upgrade to a full season on Xbox Live will also be available should you want the entire story locked up for you.

Episodes won’t be available separately on the PC, but will instead hit as one Season Pass to rule them all for the tagged price of $24.99. As for the mobile offerings, we’ll have details on those as soon as we have them.
