Metroid Zero Mission outfit debuts in Super Smash Bros

Samus’s outfit from Metroid Zero Mission will appear in the new Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS.

It seems people are already overreacting, there’s some rumblings on the internet about Samus being sexualized. However, that is not the case; this outfit has appeared in Zero Mission already. In fact Samus is well known for wearing gear like this underneath her power suit. Play the first Metroid and watch the ending, Nintendo‘s heroine has been dressing like this since 1986. The alt costume is quite faithful to the original Zero Mission one, from the color to the leggings. It’s great to see Sakurai giving a nod to Zero Mission, hopefully we’ll get to see even more representation when the game finally gets released.
