Jagged Alliance Flashback arrives on Early Access

Steam’s Early Access program welcomes in the latest Jagged Alliance, one-liners and all.

Well, I’m a big ’80s action movie guy, so that just about looks like the best thing I’ve seen in a while to me. Let’s run it down; guns, one-liners, guns, explosions, and guns… sounds pretty good to me.

Crafted by developer Full Control, Jagged Alliance: Flashback is a true sequel to the JS franchise that was so successful back in the 1990’s and offers the same tactical-strategy action that fans have come to know and love. And apparently, fans really did love it because the game raised over $350k on Kickstarter in order to get things moving.

“The launch of Jagged Alliance: Flashback on Steam Early Access is a significant milestone in our vision to bring back the beloved turn-based franchise to its roots”, said Thomas Lund, CEO of Full Control. “We’re excited to launch the game on Steam Early Access and can’t wait to see what the Jagged Alliance community will build with the Editor”.

That editor is reason enough to give Jagged Alliance: Flashback a good long look, but you’ll find a lot more than that in the Early Access edition. Included for play is a “small island to conquer and explore” in which you’ll go on a few quests and have to talk to NPC’s. It’s a sampling of what the final game will offer, so if you are into JA, you’re probably going to want to pick it up and whet your appetite for a return to form for the series.

There’s no release date as of yet for that full retail edition of the game, but the Early Access version of Jagged Alliance: Flashback is available right now for the PC.
