Dungeon Defenders goes free as part of Xbox Games with Gold

D3Publisher and Reverb’s tower defense/action title Dungeon Defenders is free till the end of the month for Xbox Live Gold subscribers.

Dungeon Defenders is one of those games that kind of slips by most gamers minds when they think about the top titles on Xbox Live, but it’s right up there. Selling very well since its release back in 2010 and has sold north of 600k copies since across all available platforms. That’s pretty darned impressive.

The base title is free right now as a part of Games with Gold, Microsoft’s monthly ‘free game’ program  for those who subscribe to the $50 a year service, and offers “hundreds of hours of 3D tower defense mayhem and offers even more depth, replay value, and action-RPG fun with its four, mega-size DLC packs”.

DLC you say? Yep, the game can be expanded x4 with a quartet of packs that’ll run you $3.99 USD a piece. Combined with the asking price of the base game, which is free, that makes for a pretty attractive package seeing the sheer amount of content you’d be getting.
