Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars Fuuko trailer

Check out Fuuko in Atlus‘s latest Conception II trailer. Some gameplay footage as well as bits of story can be seen in the video.

For those of you out of the loop, Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars is an upcoming JRPG for the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita. It is a sequel to the PSP’s Conception: Ore no Kodomo o Undekure! (Conception: Please Give Birth to my Child! in english). Unlike Conception II, the first one never hit western shores. The original publishers of the game were probably worried about the prospects of such a title in countries like the United States; but Atlus doesn’t seem to have any problem localizing this one. The concept is relatively the same as the first game, form bonds with girls from the academy you attend, and have their children explore dungeons and battle various monsters.

Think Fire Emblem Awakening and Fire Emblem 4, only the entire game is based around the children. The combat is turn based, with the parents leading a myriad of children into battle. The kids attack in small groups, taking on the enemies one by on; in each battle, all characters form a circle around the monster they’re attacking. Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars will be released April 15, 2014.
