The Call of Duty Championship locks and loads

Three days of action and heated competition kick off with the Call of Duty Championship 2014 presented by Xbox.

Gaming events like this don’t come much bigger -or involve purses much larger- than the Call of Duty Championship. The pro-gamer tournament, presented by Xbox, is an official Major League Gaming event and takes place in L.A. across this coming March 8th and 9th. Gamers who participate as one of the 32 teams chosen for entry will have a stab at part of the $1 million USD in prizes and the title of World Champions.

It’s a legitimate big stakes event and, if you qualify, could easily make a career in a ‘sport’ that didn’t exist just a few years ago. My how things have changed from the neighborhood tourneys when I was a kid. If you’d like to participate, or just have a look at the ins and outs of the Call of Duty Championship, click here for the official rules and much more.

Might want to start training now.

About Jason Micciche

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
