The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in-game footage is just past stunning

Seriously, this is one gorgeous game.

“The Witcher 3 is constantly growing and we’re very excited each time we show something new to gamers. The VGX Gameplay Trailer shows some really great stuff that you’ll find in the game and we’re very eager to hear what people think about it, so please leave a comment after you watch it – we’re always listening to what you have to say,” said Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, Game Director, CD Projekt RED

I’m a fan of The Witcher in general and loved the first two games in the series in a big way. Wild Hunt though, looks like a whole new ballgame and if you’re looking for something that ‘looks next-fen’, I don’t think it gets much better than Geralt’s latest adventure. Oh, and it’s going to sound pretty darned good too.

CD Projekt RED promises that the music direction throughout The Witcher 3 will have an all-new direction and will “focus on the raw emotion of traditional slavic instruments and songs to convey the brutality and violence of the world”. Seeing to that will be bands like Percival, who are using “historic” period instruments to get a sound that’ll be authentic to the setting and dark fantasy world of the developer’s The Witcher. With an A/V package this good all around, this is going to be a tough game to beat in 2014- especially when you combine all that with the fact that The Witcher is already pretty highly revered and The Witcher 3 is allegedly the final game in the series.

Whether or not that turns out to be true is one thing, but as for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt- that’s on the way to the Xbox One, PS4 and PC sometime in 2014.
