Disney and Marvel seek their Destiny in the Museum of the Weird

Secret societies and high-strangeness abound in the collaborative adventure called Disney Kingdoms: Seekers of the Weird from Disney and Marvel Comics.

When their parents are kidnapped, teens Maxwell and Melody are thrust into a thrilling race through the world’s strangest – and most treacherous — museum! With the aid of their mysterious and swashbuckling uncle, it’s up to the young heroes to rescue their family and save the world from an evil secret society!

It might seem like a weird mash-up, but Seekers of the Weird is actually based on a Disney attraction that never was- but could have been. The Museum of the Weird was meant to be an add-on to the popular Haunted Mansion at Disney Theme Parks, but the exhibit was never constructed.

Seekers of the Weird takes place in the Museum and adds a secret society and whole bunch of trouble for the three main characters. The book sounds nice and family friendly, but also should definitely appeal to the Disney mega-fan and probably those who just dig fun, throwback supernatural stories.
