Guardians of the Galaxy #8 (Comics) Preview

The Guardians come face to face with Thanos and his attack on Earth this Month.

This October, the Guardians of the Galaxy face the overwhelming might of Thanos and Infinity! Marvel is proud to present your first look at Guardians of the Galaxy #8, from blockbuster writer Brian Michael Bendis and superstar artist Francesco Francavilla! As the Mad Titan and his sinister armies lay siege to Earth, it’s up to Peter Quill and his rag-tag band of heroes to rise up and meet him! The Peak, orbital headquarters of intergalactic peacekeeping force S.W.O.R.D. has been hijacked – and it’s weapons pointed right at Earth! The galaxies most mismatched heroes must give it their all as they attempt a daring rescue mission! But at what cost? Don’t miss Guardians of the Galaxy #8 for the answer!

Francavilla is very fast becoming one of my favorite artists. Not only is his style classic comic book with an excellently vintage flair, but it’s at the same time new and different- especially since you don’t see much like it anymore.

Honestly, I’m a fan of the artist- so maybe I’m a tad biased.

As for Infinity, it’s a massive event. With Thanos assaulting Earth and the Avengers taking on the Builder threat on the other end of the universe, it’s really a who’s who of Marvel might with characters both big and small getting in on the action. GotG is hot right now anyway, but put the Guardians up against Thanos and you have a book that cosmic Marvel fans really shouldn’t miss out on.

Check it our when Guardians of the Galaxy #8 lands on store shelves from Francesco Francavilla and Brian Michael Bendis on October 30th.

About Jason Micciche

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
