New Deadfall Adventures trailer slows things down

Mood setter? Yep. Get ready to plunge into the tombs of South America in search of the Heart of Atlantis.

In Deadfall Adventures, players take on the role of James Lee Quatermain, as he and Agent Goodwin strive to be one step ahead of the Nazis and the Russians, one step closer to obtaining the Heart of Atlantis. Deep in the temples, where age-old guardians awake from their eternal slumber, James soon learns that his great-grandfather’s stories are not as crazy as he had always believed. For all things live forever, though at times they sleep and are forgotten.

Nordic Games Deadfall Adventures is looking very sharp indeed as it heads towards launch. The game was developed with the Unreal Engine 3 and looks pretty great. There also aren’t a terribly huge amount of games out there that take advantage of the recently resurgent ‘pulp action’ genre either and I’ve gotta give DA points just for that.

Sure the reborn Tomb Raider and the Uncharted series have some elements of the classic pulp novels from years ago, but they’re not quite the ‘real’ thing. Deadfall Adventures (at this point anyway) looks like it just might have all the elements that fans want. You’ve got your adventurer (in a hat), you have your jungle setting, you have your Nazi’s and Russians and you have your supernatural elements. Sounds good to me.

Look for Deadfall Adventures to hit the PC and Xbox 360 on November 15th. Want to pre-order? You can do that digitally for the Steam version of the game now right here and snag yourself an upgrade to the Digital Deluxe Edition in which you’ll get some exclusive skins for the game that you won’t find anywhere else.
