Preview: Archer & Armstrong #9

The ‘Wrath of the Eternal Warrior” comes to a close in a story that pits immortal brother against brother, with a Null-controlled Archer caught in the middle.

What cosmic madness has turned Armstrong’s naive teenage ally into a madman with a thirst for universal genocide? Can Valiant’s immoral immortal defeat the evil inside Archer before his brother enacts the ultimate sanction? And once the stardust has settled, what will be the next battle for the undying Eternal Warrior?

One of the best books published by Valiant (which is really saying something), Archer & Armstrong has picked up speed in a big way with the ‘Wrath of the Eternal Warrior’ story arc. Armstrong’s brother has really rounded into an excellent character in his own right through the story and hopefully someone at the publisher is paying attention- because he really needs a book all his own.

With the ongoing title making all the waves, don’t forget about the special zero issue that’ll be hitting soon as well. Archer & Armstrong #0 goes way (way) back to the brothers’ origin story in ancient Sumer and re-teams writer Fred Van Lente and artist Clayton Henry for a ripping tale that time forgot.

Look for A&A #9 to bust up comic shops on April 10th and then check back in for #0 on May the 8th.
