New DLC coming for Nascar The Game

Nascar fans, start your engines – fresh downloadable content is on the way.

The new Inside Line Highlights content pack will use telemetry data to recreate actual moments from some of the biggest moments in Nascar’s 2o13 season. Going form the big show in Daytona all the way to the endcap at the Homestead-Miami Speedway, a new Inside Line pack will be released every week after a big race.

Inside Line Highlights strikes me as a very ambitious project- and a very cool one too. Here’s what you can expect to see throughout the year as far as a schedule goes:

Daytona 500 Pack
Take part in the 2013 Daytona 500 and help Jeff keep cool at the start of the race, make history with Danica Patrick by leading the pack and steal Jimmies thunder by taking Dale Jr. to victory lane.

Subway Fresh Fit 500 Pack
Take to the track in the Subway Fresh Fit 500 and aid Montoya in claiming back his spot at the front of the pack, fight off all the youngsters on fresh tires as Mark Martin and snatch second place from the 48 as Denny Hamlin.

Kobalt Tools 400 Pack
Roll the dice in the Kobalt Tools 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Go three wide as Kyle Busch, get Keselowski into the top three and take part as both Kasey Kahne and Matt Kenseth in the thrilling battle for the win.

Auto Club 400 Pack
Start your engines at the Auto Club 400 and relive Jr’s charge through the pack after a bad pitstop. Race through the field as Hamlin to set up his epic battle with Logano and help Kyle take advantage of this battle to win.

*Races at Bristol, Kansas and Dover will not be available.

Highlights packs will be available in game as a part of the ‘ticket’ system and will run you 20 tickets with alternate paint schemes costing 10 tickets. You can also get the packs as a part of the Season Pass for Nascar The Game as well. That’ll cost you $24.99 on the PS3 or 2000mspts on the Xbox 360. You’ll get all the Highlight packs as well as all the 2013 launch Gen 6 paint apps if you buy in for that one.
