Things are getting a little fishy in Injustice: Gods Among Us

But it’s a good kind of fishy as Aquaman is now officially on the roster for the Infinite Earths-laden DC comics fighting game from NetherRealm.

DC’s recent revamp with the ‘New 52’ soft reboot of the company’s universe, left Aquaman, usually on the receiving end of a joke as one of the coolest and deepest characters in the DCU. No seriously.

Okay fine… roll the video please.

So it looks like the ‘reluctant ruler of Atlantis’ will be taking the fight to the corrupt Justice League and Superman in Injustice. As a huge comic book fan, I think this might be the most excited I’ve been about a fighting game in… uh… forever.

Injustice: Gods Among Us rises on the Wii U, PS3, and Xbox 360 on April 16th. And go pick up a copy of Aquaman would you? It’s really, really good.
