Total War: Rome II gameplay trailer preps for war

Have fun storming Carthage!

The year is 146BC, brilliant tactician Scipio Aemilianus is dispatched by Rome to break the three-year-long siege of Carthage, an unforgivable blight on the glory of the growing Empire. Ruthless determination and an almost suicidal amphibious assault is required, but the young consul is uncomfortably aware that the price of victory may be much higher than the senate realizes.

I really don’t know much about Sega’s Total War series, but I’ll say this- that’s one seriously nice looking RTS. The game isn’t due out on PC’s till next year, but it’s already looking pretty fantastic and I love the sense of scale.

If you like what you saw, make sure you stay tuned, because there’s a flyby video inbound as well that’s set to take viewers on a virtual of Carthage as was digitally rebuilt by the dev team at The Creative Assembly.

About Jason

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
