Mad Catz announces Tekken Tag-themed fightstick

Mad Catz announced a brand new agreement with Namco  Bandai Games today to produce an arcade fightstick for use withe the upcoming fighting game sequel- Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

And actually… that’s about all we’ve got right now. There really isn’t much else to report on the subject as Mad Catz says they  don’t have anything to show off (or even talk about as far as the new stick goes) at the moment.

When might fightin’ fans  hear something? “Very very soon” says the company. It might be worth it to note though, that Mad Catz will be showing their wares off at PAX this weekend- so that might be a safe bet if you’re looking for some intel on the subject.

One thing we do know is that the agreement allows Mad Catz the worldwide rights to ship Namco Bandai flavored product for the  Xbox 360, PS3, and the Wii U. The Tekken Tag Tournament 2 fightstick is also scheduled to be the first stick available for Nintendo’s new console (whenever it may be launching) which is kind neat too.

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
