Dead Island sequel possibly trademarked

Dead Island

Despite its flaws Dead Island was a huge breakout hit this year so it should come as no surprise that Techland, the game’s developer, would be considering doing a sequel. While it hasn’t been officially revealed, a new trademark hints that a Dead Island 2 is currently in the works.

Discovered by the sleuths at Siliconera, a U.S. trademark for “Dead World” has been filed by Techland. Obviously this is far from a confirmation that a sequel is being developed, but going from an island to the world is the next logical step for any self-respecting zombie outbreak.
