EA Doesn’t Confirm Mirror’s Edge 2 Cancellation

Electronic Arts has issued a statement to video game website 1up.com that earlier reports about the cancellation of Mirror’s Edge 2’s development might not be completely correct.

When asked for a statement about the reports a representative for EA would only say that Mirror’s Edge was “an important franchise” and with DICE currently working on Battlefield 3 they have “nothing further to announce”.

It’s not much to go on, but it’s certainly more positive than something along the lines of “we wouldn’t touch that sales bomb again with a ten foot pole!”.
