Street Fighter X Tekken Collaborative and Competitive

It’s an actual versus, but a friendly one.

Thanks to Famitsu (via Andriasang) we know that Street Fighter X Tekken and Tekken X Street Fighter is a collaborative and competitive endeavor between Capcom and Namco Bandai. The studios are developing each game independently, and that both gameplay and the character design will not be influenced by either side. The games are tentatively set to be released in two years, with Capcom’s game likely being released first.

Street Fighter IV‘s producer Yoshinori Ono and Tekken series project leader Katsuhiro Harada are good friends who felt the match-up will challenge both companies at all levels including reception and sales. They want fans of both series to get excited.
