Project Needlemouse Officially Named

Goodbye Project Needlemouse, hello Sonic The Hedgehog 4.

Yes, Sega officially revealed that the long awaited ‘Project Needlemouse’ is indeed Sonic The Hedgehog 4, which will be released for Xbox Live Arcade, PSN, WiiWare and an as yet unnanounced 4th platform.  The most likely candidate is the iPhone.

The game will be episodic in nature and will be a return to the old school ways of Sonic, featuring all the traditional moves.  In addition, Sonic will be the only playable character in it.  The game will be an episodic title, with Episode 1 being released sometime in the summer.
