New Red Faction & Saints Row Games Planned

Don’t expect to see them too soon, though.

Over at Gamasutra, it has come to light that THQ CEO Brian Farrell has mentioned that new installments in the Red Faction and Saints Row franchises are in developement.

The new Red Faction is scheduled to be released in the 2011 Fiscal year, which is 1st Aprill 2010 to 31st March 2011.  The next Saints Row game is slated for the 2012 Fiscal year.

Seems a little odd that a new Red Faction game would surface before a new Saints Row, seeing as Saints Row 2 was released before Red Faction: Guerilla, but both games are excellent and the hopefully the sequels should be decent.
