New Assassin’s Creed Game In The Works
Ubisoft may have just made our resident Irishman’s year.
In announcing plans for their 2010-2011 fiscal year, Ubisoft have confirmed that another game in the Assassin’s Creed franchise is on the way, this one having an online multiplayer mode.
CVG have reported that Ubisoft have stated “The 2010-11 fiscal year will see a greater number of franchise releases than in 2009-10, including Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction, a new game in the Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon series, Prince of Persia The Forgotten Sands, Driver, Raving Rabbids 4 and a new episode of Assassin’s Creed, which will be the first in the series to have an online multiplayer mode.”
Whether or not this new game will be Assassin’s Creed III or just a spin-off of the franchise is known, but with the second game only having been released a couple of months ago, a spin-off seems more likely at this stage. We’ll just have to wait and see.
