BrutalGamer’s Game of the Decade Awards

What would you pick?

2009 is all over, consigned to the memory of a night of drunken debaucher and urination in the streets so we look back at the 00′s and see which games have stood the test of time.  What truly rocked the world once the PR hype settled and who made the biggest impact on our gaming lives.  Each member of staff had a chance to pick so some categories have several and some have single choices.

If this were about co-op, I would have to go with Left for Dead but for all round multiplayer experience I will have to give the edge to Halo 3. If we are going to talk about online games, who could suggest anything other than World of WarCraft? – Spoon
Halo 2 – Viatrophy
The amount of time I spent playing this game is truly unreal, playing literally thousands of matches on it per month – when other friends were revising for major exams, I found myself fiending off of the magnificent multiplayer Halo 2 had.

I would like to have chosen Majora’s Mask as my GOTD choice for RPG, but I picked the one I played the most of, which was Oblivion. Majora’s Mask is still one of my all-time favourite games but I went with longevity > memorability.

Oh, and my choice for GOTD is Uncharted 2.
