Japanese hardware sales – week ending November 22nd ’09
How does every iteration of the DS sell zillions on its first week? Crazy stuff.
Oh Japan… you’re really under Nintendo’s thumb, aren’t you? Just like a pussy-whipped male asking for permission to see his friends. The DSi LL was just released in Japan this previous week and managed to sell an insane 100,553 units in just 7 days, I swear nearly every person in Japan must own a DS soon. The PS3 coming in second place, selling 34,752 by the end of the week, but still damn good numbers compared to Microsoft’s Xbox 360 which is still trying to hang on for dear life with only 4,085 units sold – better than nothing though.
- DSi LL – 100,553
- PS3 – 34,752
- Wii – 32,844
- PSP – 32,752
- DSi – 32,070
- DS Lite – 5,051
- PSP go – 4,574
- Xbox 360 – 4,085
- PS2 – 2,024
