{UPDATED} Modern Warfare 2 Recalled In Russia
Can anyone honestly say this news is a surprise?
Reports have surfaced that all copies of Modern Warfare 2 in Russia have been recalled, the reason being the inclusion of the much discussed ‘No Russian’ mission with the civilian shootings in the airport.
Infinity Ward have already released a patch for the PC version of the game which completely removes the level from the storyline. There will also be a new retail version released with the scene removed. Supposedly the whole US versus Russia storyline running through the game hasn’t exactly made the game well received either, as you might expect.

{UPDATED 17/11/09}
Activision Blizzard have just confirmed that the Console version of the game was NOT pulled in Russia – so looks like the original source of the story, GotPS3, were talking outta their arses . The statement read :-
“Reports that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been banned in Russia are erroneous. Activision only released a PC version of the game in Russia which went on sale on Tuesday, Nov. 10.”
