Sky Player could be PS3 bound

Another “hot air” exclusive deal

It seems that the day of the wholly exclusive content is pretty much passed.  What with the Netflix announcement last week and now this little revelation from Sky’s On-Demand manager Griff Pary:-

“I can talk generally about our desire to extend to any device that supports a good quality experience to project the content. The PS3 is clearly a device where that is possible. And so it may very well happen in the future. Having said that, we’re very happy to be working with Xbox for the time being,”

No sure, he has not said it IS coming to PS3 but come on, this is even less convincing than the Netflix assurances about Xbox 360 exclusivity last year.  So be prepared for the PS3 option to be sitting off your XMB sometime in the next 12 months – The beginning of November 2010 or the beginning of May 2010 I would guess.
