Latest Ratchet & Clank title gets bonus unlocks

But only if you own a previous game save.

Insomniac have confirmed that owners of save games from the previous PS3 outings of Ratchett & Clank will get bonus in-game items for their loyalty.  These take the form of a Pirate Hat, that you can use in multiplayer, if you have a save for Quest for Booty.  If you ave a save for the original Ratchet & Clank : Future then you will be given a nice discount at all in game shops – very tasty!  Here is Insomniac’s take on the matter:-

“You receive discounts on the returning weapons (Negotiator, Buzz Blades, Mag-Net Launcher, Mr. Zurkon, Groovitron Glove) for a Tools of Destruction save, and the pirate hat for Ratchet on the Community screen for the Quest for Booty save.”

These cahnges may not be massive or indeed game altering but I think it is long overdue that more devs work these sort of things in to their games.  It is just a nice little touch for those dedicated to a series.  Ratchet & Clank Future : A Crack in Time will be released on November 6th for the PS3.
