[UPDATE] Wipeout HD to release on Blu-Ray later this year

It’s no longer a rumor!

[UPDATE] Turns out folks that this little bit of news isn’t actually a rumor anymore. SCEE has confirmed that Wipeout HD will be coming to a Blu-Ray disk near you on October 16th and will set you back a mere £16.99. I take it this is how SCEE are trying to regain there dignity after the massive cock-up that is the God of War Collection not coming to Europe for a long time.

Let us hope that this is another one of the many Fall/Christmas rumors which will become true like the release of GT5 in December, PS3 Slim and God of War Collection.

If this little Blu-Ray beauty is real, like many of us are hoping, it’ll include Wipeout HD and it’s most recent “Fury” expansion pack. The Blu-Ray package also has a rumored release date of October 16th also, so we’re assuming if this rumor is real, we’ll see an announcement of it soon — most likely at TGS which isn’t to far round the corner.
