360 Facebook And Twitter Not For Silver Members
Surprised? No, neither am I.
If you happen to have an Xbox 360 Sliver membership and you were looking forward to using Twitter and Facebook on your console, then I’m afraid you’re bang out of luck.
Over on Destructoid, they noticed a little footnote in the recent system update for the 360, which said the following: -
“Xbox LIVE Gold Membership will be required for Twitter and Facebook when they are available, and is required for Netflix. Games, media content and Netflix membership are sold separately; a hard drive is required for storage.”
You’d think that you wouldn’t have a Gold subscription to access services that are usually free, but clearly Microsoft think otherwise. Still, I doubt anyone with a Silver membership is so desperate to access Twitter and Facebook from their 360 that they’d pay Microsoft to let them do it.
