Looking for something to try out? For free might I add.

If you’re looking to give an upcoming game a shot to see whether you like it (and be of some use to the company) the beta for Section 8 is now open to everyone, TimeGate has announced.

The beta can be grabbed by anyone in Europe, North America and Australia who has a FilePlanet, GameSpy or IGN account which can be created fairly quickly if you don’t have one. It looks fairly interesting so I’m definitely going to give it a whirl, so I may just see you online.

The beta can be grabbed right here after filling in some forms.

Specs are relavtively low, the specifications can be found below if you’re not to sure though:

  • OS: Windows Vista SP1 / Windows XP SP3
  • Processor: Pentium 4 3Ghz or higher
  • RAM: 1GB XP, 2GB Vista
  • Memory: 6 GB free hard drive space
  • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7800, ATI X1800 or better with DirectX 9c, Shader 3.0, 256 MB
