Nintendo Looking To Halt DSi Piracy

Having made an effort to stop modifications to the Wii, Nintendo have turned their attention to the DSi.

A new firmware update for the DSi will make certain flash cards unusable, as they will no longer boot up when the console is switched on.  This is designed to stop several cards that are used for piracy.

Of course, sooner or later someone will find a way to work around this.  But if you’re pirating games on the DSi, then you’re going to be out of luck for the moment.  You’ll just have to pay full price like the rest of us.
